Total Specific Solutions has acquired the Application Security business unit of Rohde & Schwarz, based in France
Total Specific Solutions (“TSS”) has acquired Rohde & Schwarz Cybersecurity France, a former Rohde & Schwarz company. This is the 14th company joining TSS in the French-speaking market and TSS’s first dedicated cybersecurity company.
The solutions provide comprehensive protection of web applications and APIs to large clients, both public and private, Rohde & Schwarz Cybersecurity France being particularly represented among financial institutions as well as central and local government entities. The R&S®Web Application Firewall defends all web applications and APIs by blocking malicious requests and allowing legitimate traffic. The R&S®Cloud Protector provides easy configuration and management for enterprises that want to address the security issues of the application layer in the cloud. The Web Application and API Protection portfolio is comprehensive, with solutions that can be deployed on-premise, in the cloud, or both, by the customer. And it is also offered as a managed service, in subscription mode. The R&S®Trusted Application Factory ensures cloud-native application protection, integrating security within the very code of modern software, a solution adjusted to the needs of DevSecOps teams.
Dorinda van Oosten, General Manager TSS:
“I am pleased that we have the first dedicated cybersecurity company join TSS in France. It is a company with high standing in the market and is considered one of the leaders in the French cybersecurity domain. It has a strong market presence, especially in the finance, healthcare, energy, and public sectors, verticals that we have in-depth knowledge of within TSS.
In recent years, the threat of security breaches has increased exponentially. Hackers have become very sophisticated, and companies, like our customers in the vertical markets, are more and more exposed to the roll-out of the home office. I am pleased that we have a renowned solution provider in France to keep cybercriminals at bay at our companies and their clients.
I look forward to getting Stéphane de Saint Albin and his team acquainted with the other TSS companies and helping them find their way in our library of best practices to accelerate the growth of their business and customer performance further.”
Stéphane de Saint Albin, Managing Director of Rohde & Schwarz Cybersecurity France:
“We are looking forward to becoming an independent business unit within the TSS Group. As a perpetual owner, TSS buys companies and holds them forever with a view to helping them grow: this creates a solid foundation for our next steps as a company. Being a French company with European ownership means our customers can continue to take advantage of our sovereign and GDPR compliant solutions.
We are keen to learn from TSS and we are also looking forward to sharing our application security expertise with the other TSS companies.”
